The first with turn-off cannon barrel, border-engraved action signed within a trophy-of-arms on the right and decorated with a further trophy, en rocailles, on the left, engraved top-strap secured by a transverse pin, flat-sided figured walnut butt, and engraved sliding trigger-guard safety-catch, Birmingham private proof marks; the second with turn-off barrels, plain actions with linear engraved borders and signed within engraved ovals, thumbpiece safety-catches, the cocks each with spur curled to the rear, flat-sided walnut butts, and engraved trigger-guards, Tower private proof marks.
