A pair of Japanese cloisonne vases, Meiji Taisho (1868-1920)
each of ovoid form, variously enamelled with a swooping bird and another perched on a branch bearing large peony blossoms, reserved on a black ground, between lappet borders below the rim and around the splayed foot -- 18 5/16in. (46.5cm.) high. (2)
