A Chinese archaistic vase, hu, Ming dynasty (1368-1644)
of archaic hu form, applied with a pair of taotie mask handles reserved on a border around the shoulders with confronting stylised dragons above pendant cicada blades with taotie masks, all reserved on a leiwen ground -- 14½in. (36.8cm.) high.
