A Chinese blue and white lobed 'aster pattern' dish, Kangxi (1662-1722)
with petal shaped moulded sides, the central medallion painted with five aster blossoms on a meandering foliate scroll ground, encircled by the cavetto with panels enclosing aster stems, the reverse with three sprays of grass blades, underglaze blue lingzhi fungus mark -- 10 15/16in. (27.8cm.) diam.
