A Chinese blue and white lobed saucer-dish, Kangxi (1662-1722)
with lappet shaped moulded sides, painted with a central medallion enclosing two four-clawed dragons pursuing the flaming pearl above crested waves and flanking a tassled object, the cavetto with Buddhistic and auspicious emblems, the reverse with Shou characters, underglaze blue six-character Xuande mark; and a blue and white saucer-dish, painted with a central foliate lotus blossom, encircled by leafy peony, pomegranate and dianthus sprays, the reverse with a composite floral scroll, underglaze blue six-character Xuande mark, Kangxi -- 6¼in. (15.8cm.) diam. (2)
