Basil, an early British teddy bear
with golden mohair, clear and black glass eyes with remains of brown painted backs, black stitched nose and mouth, swivel head, jointed limbs and knitted outfit, circa 1920 --13½in. (34.5cm.) high (very worn, tear to lower back of head and pads recovered)
