3 fascicles (Neurologiae I-III) only (of 8), broadsheets (650 x 455 mm). 75 engraved plates on 46 leaves (some folding) (a few repaired tears, some trimmed closely shaving imprints or platemarks). Modern quarter calf. Provenance: Charles Amory (printed slip accomplished in manuscript, presenting the book to); Winslow Lewis Jr.
The first three parts of eight that Langenbeck issued at his own expense in 1826 and 1841. These represent the complete portion on neuroanatomy. Langenbeck was an anatomist, surgeon and opththalmologist. All parts are of this work are RARE. Engelmann, Bibliotheca Medico-Chirurgica (1848) p. 325.
