Details
Lying in Weybridge, Surrey (EHD)
Offered duty-paid, but available in bond
Taylor--Vintage 1994
Tasting Note: First noted as cask samples in June and July 1996. 'A heck of a bite', bitter (tannic) finish, and hard, spirity, full of fruit and great length. In other words a classic immature Taylor. With Fonseca, the Wine Spectator's joint '100-point' wine and certainly demonstrating its qualities. Still opaque and intense; nose more sublimated than Fonseca but crisp, lovely fruit; sweeter though, with all the component parts for a splendid future. Last tasted at the Wine Experience in New York, Dec 1998 (*****) 2010 - 2040 M.B.
