engraving with etching, aquatint and hand-coloring, 1836, on J Whatman, with margins, minor surface soiling, a 1-in. scuff near the eye, scattered foxing (mostly in the lower portion of the wing and breast), minor circular staining in the sky at the pelican's back, a 2-in. area of discoloration in the sky at upper left, time staining, a 1-in. crease at the lower right corner, short tears running along the extreme left edge (where previously bound), glue remains at the extreme upper and lower edges, glued to the support in places at the reverse of the upper and lower edges, otherwise in good condition, framed
