Buah Nanas 'Buah Nanas' was the first of the registered tropical fruit patterns, listed in 1888. The pattern name means 'Pineapple', but the interesting addition of the Islamic crescent framing the lower-part of the plate shows the extent of the cultural understanding and marketing abilities of Bells' designers and agents.
