Northeastern India, Pala Period, 12th century
Standing on a stepped plinth holding his attributes of a lotus, mace, wheel and conch, wearing a short pleated dhoti and belt, beaded meditation strand, floral garland, and thick foliate torque, flanked by Lakshmi and Saraswati holding the flywhisk and vina respectively, the arched mandorla centered by a kirttimukha mask and two apsaras
