Lot Essay

The writing table of 'Grecian' black-figured rosewood is designed in the George IV 'Louis Quatorze' antique fashion and enbellished with a 'Roman' tablet, with sculpted bas-relief garland; while it's plinth-supported and cut-cornered 'atlar' pillars are Grecian-scrolled and raised on Grecian palm-flowered trusses.
