Of assymetrical triangular form, crossbanded throughout and inlaid with flowers, foliage and lattice cartouches, the hinged serpentine top revealing a red velevet lined interior above a conforming frieze on square cabriole legs headed by foliate clasps and with sabot feet, labelled to the underside 'PURCHASED FROM THE SALE OF THE LATE COLONEL FORTESCUE; r BRIDGE HOUSE WEYBRIDGE by Mrs BIGLAND, SCOTE HOWE, HOOK HEATH WOKING' and initialled FB.
