FOUR SMALL LACQUER BOXES, Meiji period
Three of square and one of rectangular shape, the first decorated in gold hiramaki-e, takamaki-e and okibirame with a willow tree overhanging a bridge crossing a river, hirame interior, pewter rims, 6.3 x 6.3cm.; two similarly decorated boxes in gold takamaki-e and hirame with chrysanthemum, hirame interiors, pewter rims, 6.5 x 6.5cm. and 6 x 6cm.; and a gold ground rectangular box inlaid with mother-of-pearl with Hotei, 6.2 x 5cm.
