Four Japanese wood netsuke, 19th century
the first, carved in the form of fruit borne from a leafy stem, with a gilt worm emerging from the leaf; the second, of two aubergines; another, of a chestnut on its leafy floral stem, with an attached foliate silver ring for suspension; and the last, possibly carved as a group of aubergines borne on their leafy stems, incised signature -- max. 2¼in. (5.7cm.) long. (4)
