Lot Essay

Harry Fidler painted predominately pastoral scenes, often focusing on working horses and carts, in a distinctive thickly paletted style. Born in Teffont, he attended the Herkomer School at Bushey before settling in Andover, Hampshire. He exhibited works at the N.E.A.C., Paris Salon and the Royal Academy.
