"While it is exactly the same wine (see herein), the Roumier version of this wine was decidedly fresher, more vibrant and more youthful than the only bottle that I have had under the Bonnefond label. It's obvious that there should be no difference but this bottle was so much better that it does suggest that the '85 Bonnefond was subjected to either poor shipping or less than pristine storage. Wonderfully expressive and perfumed on the nose with spice and truffle notes that introduce sweet, delicious, forward and supple flavors of excellent depth and length. This is drinking perfectly now and while there is no rush, neither is there any reason to delay drinking it either." BH, March 13, 2005
