A rectangular pierced cast bookrest, with a flowering urn flanked by birds to the center of the top edge, with a mask to the center and a lyre above and below, with musical horns issuing from the mask toward the four corners, on an adjustable, spreading, fluted stand, with foliate tripartite legs, on a griotte marble base, with a white paper label inscribed in black ink, '168', inscribed in red, '17887'
