AN EGYPTIAN TURQUOISE GLAZED COMPOSITION STAMP SEAL
LATE NEW KINGDOM, CIRCA 1185-712 B.C.
With loop handle in the form of a papyrus bundle, the base with standing god striking a bound prisoner on his knees, 1 in. (2.7 cm.) high; a mottled green stone ring, comprising two snakes protecting an Osirid mummy within the oval bezel, possibly Romano-Egyptian, 1st-4th Century A.D., 1 5/8 in. (4.2 cm.) high; three Egyptian djed-pillars, in lapis-lazuli, ¾ in. (2.1 cm.) high; in green steatite, 1½ in. (3.8 cm.) high; and in cornelian, 7/8 in. (2.3 cm.) high, Dynasty XXVI/Ptolemaic Period, circa 7th-1st Century B.C. (5)
