A MUGHAL SWORD WITH LACQUERED WOOD SHEATH, INDIA AND PERSIA, 18TH-19TH CENTURY
With curved steel blade, the handle in the form of a bird with inlaid red stone eyes, the remains of damascene work, the wooden sheath with lacquer decoration featuring red flowers on a gilt ground, brass fittings and later pierced brass Qajar tip - 35in. (89cm.) long
