A DUTCH-INDIAN PIPE, 19TH CENTURY
With meerschaum lobed pipe and fitted brass lid attached by small chain to an ebony turned globular stem with applied gold bosses and mother- of-pearl panels, one featuring two confronting fish, rising to a series of rounded horn sections alternating with gold rings and terminating in an amber mouthpiece - 21in (53.2cm) long
