A FRAMED SAFAVID TILE PANEL, IRAN, 17TH CENTURY
Of rectangular form consisting of twelve tiles, painted under a clear glaze in cobalt, pink, yellow, manganese and green, depicting a hunting scene of two riders galloping across a rocky landscape, one drawing back his bow to shoot a gazelle, the other attacking a tiger with his sword - without frame 30 x 23in (76 x 58.5cm)
