Arabic manuscript on cream paper, 257ff. plus 3 fly-leaves, each with 17ll. of black naskh on gold ground within black rules, with thin lines left plain between each line of text, blue and gold margins, and blue, gold and red outer rules, catchwords, verses marked with black-outlined circles, sura headings in white on gold ground with heavy black rules, marginal notes in black nasta'liq in clouds reserved against gold ground, illuminated marginal medallions, gold and polychrome illuminated opening bifolio, area of staining towards the inner corners at the bottom of the page, very minor areas of smudging, in red morocco with flap, decorated with gilt stamped central medallion and spandrels, panel of black morocco between the medallion and spandrels, coming apart at spine, in blue protective case
