AN INDIAN DIAMOND, EMERALD AND RUBY INSET GOLD PENDANT
PROBABLY DECCAN, LATE 18TH CENTURY
Of rounded triangular shape, the face with a central faceted drop-shaped emerald within a band of raised diamond inset petals, against a background of further larger diamond set petals each with ruby inset edges, the interstices sometimes with further diamonds, the reverse with a finely enamelled elaborate peony spray on a red ground, the lobed edges with fine gold scrolling designs on blue ground, two suspension loops above and seven pendant pearls below
2½in. (6.2cm.) long
