AN INDIAN DIAMOND AND RUBY INSET GOLD PENDANT
PROBABLY DECCAN, LATE 17TH CENTURY
Of lobed circular form, the centre with a flat-cut diamond within a band of continuous rubies, surrounded by alternating rubies and diamonds, the gold interstices filled with small engraved floral designs, the reverse enamelled with a single bold carnation spray on a red ground, suspension loop above and pearl pendant below
2in. (4.9cm.) long
