Three lacquer inro, 19th century
the first, three-case and decorated in gold, silver and iroe hiramakie, takamakie and kirigane on a roiro ground with the Chinese ruler She Hwang Ti taking shelter under a pine in a sudden rain storm while out with a party; another, five-case, similarily decorated with additional kimpun, depicting a phoenix descending from clouds down towards sprays of flowers, signed, semi-precious ojime and lacquer manju netsuke; the last, four-tiered, in gold hiramakie and takamakie with aogai inlay depicting a rooster and hen amidst sprays of grasses, signed Ko(?)sen -- the first 3 1/8in.
