A Satsuma vase, sealed Kinkozan, Meiji (1868-1912)
the cylindrical base and ovoid body rising to a tapered lozenge formed neck and everted rim, delicately painted in gilt and coloured enamels with a beautiful Bijin in ornately decorated robes and her attendant at leisure amongst the densely flowering cherry blossoms and beside a small meandering stream, gilt seal and impressed mark to base, painting signed on an oval red reserve Shunpo -- 7½in. (19cm.) high.
