A large cloisonne vase, by Hayashi Kodenji school, Taisho Period (1912-1926)
of ovoid form, decorated in coloured enamels and silver wire with birds perched and flying amongst the branches of a blossoming plum tree on a green ground, with silver rims -- 14¼in. (36.2cm.) high, with wood box inscribed: ao iro hana moyo shippo yaki dai kabin Kurashige shi.
