Cal. 10''' nickel-finished lever movement, 18 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, wolf's tooth winding, glazed dust cover, the white enamel dial with green Arabic numerals, outer gilt five minute divisions, set within the 18K gold, diamond and translucent green champlevé enamel scroll and foliage decorated inner case, the reverse centred by a painted polychrome enamel scene depicting Cupid riding a Dolphin, swivel bow, the outer repoussé case with chased and embossed scroll and foliage decoration, the reverse centred by a chased and embossed scene depicting Hercules, Aphrodite and Cupid in high relief, inner case numbered by maker, dial signed by retailer, maker's signature underneath the dial, movement signed by maker and retailer

Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present pair case watch with "Amour et dauphine" surrounded by diamonds and green enamel to the inner case and "Hercule" in repoussé work to the outer case in 1901 and its subsequent sale on 3 October 1902. To the best of our knowledge, it has never been offered in public before.
