MID 18TH CENTURY, GÖGGINGEN, SCRIPT JH MONOGRAM BELOW STAR MARK FOR JOSEPH HONCKHL
Painted in a subdued grand feu palette with stylised peony, prunus and chrysanthemum, the hinged pewter cover with ball thumbpice, elaborately engraved with a coat of arms with initials below the date 1750 (?) above laurel branches, the rim and footrim with pewter bands
