A SMALL GROUP OF LATE 18TH CENTURY NEO-CLASSICAL GOLD MOURNING JEWELLERY
Comprising: two navette shaped brooches, the first with sepia miniature depicting a young boy seated beneath a weeping willow, the glazed locket reverse enclosing hair and a plaque with the legend In Spice et Momento, later brooch fitting; the second with sepia and hair miniature of a sepulchral urn within a border of weeping willow branches beneath a winged cherub head, the reverse engraved Ann Legg Ob: 10 Nov. 1791 Aet: 25., later brooch fitting; and a pendant, the sepia and hair miniature depicting a cherub holding a lamb beneath a weeping willow and the legend In Memory of Fell Pryse Aged 4 Years, the reverse with glazed compartment enclosing hair (3)
