SECOND HALF 17TH CENTURY, PROBABLY FLORENTINE
Of architectural form, decorated throughout with strapwork panels inset with hardstones including lapis, porphyry and agate, with a hinged lid and an arrangement of multiple deep and shallow drawers divided by columns and balustrades with various pediments and arched niches (probably originally enclosing standing figures), the sides similarly inlaid, and with two frieze drawers in the plinth on gilt brass feet
