"Distinct honeysuckle aromas combine with intense limestone notes and full-blown, rich flavors that retain a fine sense of underlying balance. This approaches the size and intensity of a grand cru but yet it retains its exquisite sense of elegance. While the Leflaive Pucelles is always relatively fine, the 2001 version is unusually refined. Terrific and classy. For my taste, I would be drinking this now because while it will continue to develop, it's not clear to what positive end though there is absolutely no rush." BH, Jul 5, 2006
