"There is better integration of the oak leading to intensely spicy fruit that is impressively rich, detailed and expressive followed by big, mineral laden flavors and a finish that emphasizes both green apples and ripe orchard fruits. There is a lovely purity here with beautifully elegant buffering acidity and simply outstanding intensity. This too has excellent mid-palate sap and a bit of fat which completely buffers the ripe yet firm acidity should drink well young but age beautifully over the medium term." BH, July 1, 2003
