The Brooks single is one of the earliest Hendrix appearances on vinyl. In February 1965, Hendrix met up with Arthur Lee of the band Love while in Los Angeles. Love asked Hendrix to play on a song he had written for Rosa Lee Brooks, and Hendrix ended up playing on both sides of the single.
