On August 28th, 1968 Jimi Hendrix was supposed to appear at the Rhode Island Auditorium in Providence as part of a four concert pop music festival. Between the time of his signing the contract and the proposed date Hendrix backed out, only to reschedule it for November 27th (which happened to be his 26th birthday). A short comic book entitled R.I. Auditorium Comix was distributed at the remaining summer concerts to announce the new date, a copy of this is included in this lot. The artwork in this lot by Mad Peck Studios advertises the original date of the show, as does the corresponding concert flyer.
