A blanc-de-chine figure of Guanyin, 18th Century
the finely moulded figure modelled seated with one leg beneath the other in a position of Royal Ease, her right hand resting on the raised knee, her left arm leaning on a small console supported by three mythical beast head feet, holding a ruyi in her outstretched left hand, her graceful face bearing a gentle expression with eyes downcast, adorned with loose robes falling into naturalistic well-defined folds, slightly parted at the chest revealing a ruyi pendant, impressed gourd-shaped sealmark of He Chaozong -- 8.in. (20.3 cm.) high, box.
