A VERY RARE CARVED CINNABAR LACQUER WALKING STICK
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY

The tapered cane carved to the uppermost section with a peonies, roses and narcissus growing from behind ornamental rockwork with a pair of butterfly in flight reserved red on a diaper ground, flanked by classic borders and above stiff plantain leaves and an extensive section decorated with interlinking wan emblems above a shorter section with interlinked cash motif terminating in a metal bound point
