A large silver casket
Cyrillic mark of Khlebnikov with the Imperial warrant, Moscow, 1908-1917
Rectangular with rounded corners, on four bracket feet and the two feet of a boyar, realistically modelled leaning against the front of the casket, in pensive pose, right hand touching his beard, left arm and coat incorporated into the front panel, the bracket feet, sides, rims, hinges of the sloping front and handles all elaborately repoussé, chased and engraved with pan-Slavic scrolls and branches, the cover hinged along the back edge, with gilt interior, marked under base and cover panels
