Cyrillic mark of O. Kurliukov, Moscow, 1908-1917
The stylized kovsh shaped as an oval bowl with hexagonal rim, on four foliate scroll feet, the body repoussé, chased and engraved with foliate scrolls each side with a cartouche, one enclosing the en-plein enamel of two young peasant girls in a poppy field landscape, the reverse with an engraved inscription, the handle modelled as a peacock with a enamelled tail feathers, marked under base
12in. (30.5 cm.) long
The Russian inscription in the cartouche translates as: For Ina 20 January 1912. [Inotchke 20 Yanvar 1912].
