rectangular box, the cover inset with an oval enamel plaque depicting Alexander and Diogenes, flanked by richly chased four-colour gold foliate swags on frosted ground, the outer border similarly decorated with cornucopiae and fruit, the sides engine-turned within cut borders, the base engine-turned with polished cornucopiae and foliate scrolls on a matted ground
