circular box, the independent cover and base enamelled in translcent mauve and vari-colour vine paillons on a coin-pattern guilloché ground, within raised foliate chased vari-colour gold borders set with red and white enamel berries, the sides similarly decorated with coin-pattern engine-turning, the lid centred with an enamel plaque depicting a lady at the altar of Love within split-pearl surround
