Commander of a Cossack regiment in 1813, later a state councillor and chamberlain (1821). He married Elena Aleksandrovna Naryshkina, daughter of Aleksandr Lvovich Naryshkin, Grand Master of the Imperial Hunt, widow of Serene Prince Arkadii Aleksandrovich Suvorov, Count Rymnikskii.
