The broad vessel with concave sides flaring to the wide rounded base, ornamented in repoussé with four winged lions parading to the left, each with its wing outstretched, the feathers arranged in three rows, fanning out toward its upper end, their manes a series of interlocking scrolling lozenge, their mouths open revealing fangs and two rows of teeth, their tails raised and curling over their backs, perforated four times on either side for attachment of handle-plates
