ARCHAIC PERIOD, CIRCA LATE 7TH CENTURY B.C.
The hollow schematic figure with a wheel-thrown, bell-shaped body, her hands arranged across her chest, left over right, the details painted, her beak-like face with large dotted circle eyes, her long tresses with a single plait arranged in front of each shoulder, bound in a thick fillet, quatrefoils on her shoulders and elbows, her garment adorned with stippling on the torso, checker-board pattern on the skirt, with wavy vertical lines on the hem, a perforation on either side above the hem, perhaps for suspension of separately-made legs
