2o (434 x 286 mm). Engraved frontispiece, 68 plates (numbered I-LIV, **, LV-LXIV, [unnumbered on 4Q], ***** ) (8 double), head- and tail-pieces, diagrams in the text, initials (some browning some marginal spotting and wormholes). (Some browning, some offsetting of plates onto text, some marginal wormholes.) Contemporary calf, spine in eight compartments with seven raised bands, gilt-lettered morocco label in one, others ruled and decorated in gilt (a bit scuffed at the extremities, chipped at the head and foot of the spine).

Second Perrault edition. Brunet argues that the second edition with Perrault's scholarly commentary and translation is more complete than the first (1673) and is, therefore, to be preferred. Cicognara comments that among the editions and commentaries of Vitruvius this "tiene a buon dritto uno dei primi luoghi." Brunet V 1349; Cicognara 730; Fowler 418 (note).
