Château Le Bon-Pasteur--Vintage 1986
Pomerol
Levels: bottom neck or better
In original wooden case
"The 1986 Bon Pasteur is excellent. Proprietor Rolland is one of the few producers with a significant percentage of Merlot planted in his vineyard (90 who was able to achieve a better wine in 1986 than in 1985. The 1986 has a deep ruby color, a forceful, big, rich, toasty, plummy bouquet, and luscious medium- to full-bodied flavors backed up by some sizable tannins. It should be ready to drink relatively soon, but last for well over a decade." Robert Parker, Bordeaux Book, 3rd Edition #B1 (Jan 1998)
