The tripod stem of vase-bearing nymph herms relates to a candelabra pattern invented about 1770 by Jean-Louis Prieur (O.Ottomeyer, P. Prschel, et al., Vergoldete Bronzen, Munich, 1986, vol.I, p.169, fig. 3.4.12.
