A LATE 19TH CENTURY RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT & CLOISONNE ENAMEL SCENT BOTTLE,
MARK OF IVAN SALTYKOV, MOSCOW, CIRCA 1890,
Bell-shaped body with baluster neck & detachable ovoid stopper, decorated with borders of alternate powder blue & white tongue & triangular motifs & painted with stylised flowers in red, bright green, pink & various shades of blue, the stopper with a red flower-head on top, 5½ in. high (14 cm.).
