De forme balustre, reposant sur un petit pied, à décor archaïsant de deux chilong sur fond de volutes, le col agrémenté d'une anse tubulaire, ciselée d'un masque de taotie, et orné de médaillons dont le motif est repris sur la prise du couvercle, la base et le couvercle décorés d'un frise de pétales de lotus ; socle en bois
Hauteur: 13,5 cm. (5 5/16 in.)

The present lot is inspired from archaic jade vessels from the Han Dynasty. Other examples of archaistic vessels from the late Ming Dynasty are illustrated in The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum, Jadeware (II), Hong Kong 1995, pl.183 and 185.
